Cheat mode
In Chapter 2, Verse 3 or later, walk around the plaza from Verse 3 when not in a fight. Stand in front of the specified telephone and enter one of the following codes below to activate the corresponding cheat function. The "Weapons" phone is the left phone by the stairs. To unlock the extra costumes, you have to beat all chapters for one difficulty (either Very Easy, Easy or Normal) first. Load your Clear Data, go to "Gates of Hell", and then go to "Rodin's Treasure" menu. You'll see a "Super Mirror" there, which cost 100.000 Halos. Purchase this, and you'll unlock the rest of the costumes (Couture Bullets). To change costumes, press R1 at the Chapter Start screen, go to "Costume Change", and then choose your costume there.

XP Farming
This requires a cooperative second player. Choose Hardcore Mode and become a medic. Find a safe spot and kill and revive your friend with the defibrillator repeatedly. You get 80 points each time but you lose 15 for team killing.

Crack The Sky: Funny dialogue
Kill all the enemies on the helicopter. Land and go through the level without making the team stop. Note: If they get hit in the middle of a conversation they will not repeat it for that game. After you take out the .50 caliber machine gun and go up the hill where the soldier slides down, kill him and the person on the ledge near the sniper rifle, slightly to the right of the man that just slid down. Instead of going for the sniper, run on the roof of the computer room and kill all landing troops from the helicopter. Proceed by killing the remaining enemies on your right from the roof. After you are done, enter the building and take out the remaining three or four enemies but do Not activate the console.

Take Sarge, Hags and Sweets outside the building by walking into them to make them move in the opposite direction. This is done to eliminate the annoying echo inside the building. You can hear at least ten conversations. Some of them include talking about super powers, the WWE, Hulk Hogan, Woody Allen, 50 Cent and other funny topics. If they do not talk for over two minutes, the conversations are over. There is about twenty minutes of dialogue in this level.


Easy experience points
Play with a friend in Hardcore mode. Become a medic. When in a safe location, intentionally kill your partner then revive them with the defibrillator. Each time this is done you will gain get 80 experience points but also lose 15 experience points for team killing. Repeat this as many times as desired.

Mission 4 "Upriver" Easy Sniping!
• When you start the fourth mission "Upriver" you will have to take down a guard on a sniping post, just sneak by him by crouching or walking quietly, when you are close hit him with your knife.
• Now to the sniping part, it is pretty easy, you will have to shoot some guardians before you can regroup with your units. Shoot ONLY when you hear a thunder sound, you can predict it coming by noticing the flash, so your shots won't be heard.
• First take out the one on the left pier when thunder strikes, next aim right where you can see two other guardians on two piers. The thunder will strike, and if you are fast enough you can take them both, otherwise wait until the thunder strikes again. Now reload.
• Aim a little bit up, a guy will come down the stairs, hit him when thunder strikes. Now the tricky part, you will have to take out two guardians at the same time, ONE SHOT KILL when thunder strikes. This can be hard since the alarm goes on when gunshots are heard. You are done sniping now, go down there and regroup.

Beginner tips for online play
Alright, firstly, you'll want to pick a class that represents your online play, then, you'll want to try your best to NOT go out in the open, like roads, for example. The maps are massive, so open spots will lead to you getting killed. Also remember that your camouflage is amazing, so stick to crouching and sticking to trees. If your sneaky, you'll want to be an engineer, with each gun coming with a silencer.

A lot of good sniping spots are out in the open, so you'll be pretty easy to see from the distance, as you'll stand out dressed in hay crouching over a rock. If your having trouble sniping, switch to hardcore, which is always a one hit kill. The medic class is ideal for a squad team-mate, as, when earned the right experience, can revive teamates and earn experience. As a medic, stick close to your teamates, in case their low on health. Lastly, the assault class, this guy hands out ammo, so when low pop out an ammo crate and resupply. Follow the tips by sticking to the trees. But don't defend using the assault class, its usually used for counter attacks. Camp out beside the enemy base, hide, and pick off any guys on their way out of their. Its very useful. And, another useful tip, is to shoot in bursts. Shooting hundreds of bullets will attract a LOT of attention. Hope this helps.

Upriver: Easy sniping
When you start the mission you must take down a guard on a sniping post. Crouch or walk quietly to sneak to him. When you are close, attack him with your knife. Predator reference
On the second Bolivia mission where you start off sniping, after short amount of time there will be a cineamatic where you are looking at a group of guards, with one being in a watch tower. Sarge will say "They are dug in like an Alabama tick". This is the same phrase Jessie Ventura used in the movie Predator when they were taking out the enemies at the beginning.

Quick switching
Quick switching will save you a lot of time especially when dealing with multiple enemies. For the auto-injector, once the screen tilts and you hear the hiss, you can switch to another item or weapon. For weapons, once the magazine total is full, you can select another weapon or item and your gun will be ready next time you select it.

Saving grenades

Always join an open squad if not already playing with friends. This gives you the ability to spawn next to them at anytime instead of spawning at a base.

Repairing planes
Land your plane on the landing pads, or ships to repair them at anytime.

Sandcastles
Search the following locations to find a hidden sandcastle.

1. Guadalcanal: There are two islands (a small one and a big one). On the big island is a beach facing toward Guadalcanal as well as two trees. Follow the beach to the left of those trees to find a mini sand castle with a shovel.
2. Iwo Jima: On the island closest to the carrier is a small sandcastle facing the carrier.
3. Wake Island: There are two small islands by the beach base. On the one to the right is a sandcastle with a Swedish flag and a yellow shovel.

Quick Reload
If you need to reload quickly, press SQUARE, then right afterwards sprint a few feet. After that just hit SQUARE again and you will be reloaded.

Car Bombing Antics
First, make sure you've got a buddy. This can't be done without two people. It's best to join a squad together and it makes things easier if you both have headsets.

One of you should spawn as an Infantry and the other has to spawn as a Scout.

Find a car, have the Infantryman get in it, but don't drive away yet. Have the Scout place a bunch of charges on the jeep. Have the Infantry player drive off towards a target, such as a base or a tank or a group of enemies.

If you're playing as the Scout and neither of you have a mic then make sure you watch the car at all times, use your rifle scope if necessary. When the car stops at the base or tank, blow the charges. If you both have mics then the Scout won't need to watch the car. The infantry player should tell the Scout to detonate the charges as soon as the infantry gets to the target.

Make sure the Infantry doesn't get out of the car. Because of Friendly Fire rules, neither the Infantryman or the car will be harmed when the charges are detonated. This means that you can bring the car back to the Scout and load it up with more explosives or have the Infantryman repair any damage done by enemies.

This tactic can net you plenty of kills and can make taking down tanks very easy. It can also help make captures much easier.

A car bomb with one person is also useful. Spawn as a scout, put charges on the front of a car and don't switch weapons -- hold the trigger in your hand. Get in the car, drive to a tank or some people, jump out and press the fire button if the car is near an enemy to detonate it.

How to get no norority
When you are on a roof, and guards attack you try to punch them off the edge before they die. If you throw them off by grabbing them you shoud get norority, if you punch them off before dying you get no norority.

Medicines and throwing knives
Loot bodies to find free medicines or throwing knives.

Fast travel
You will start the game with only being able to go between cities or other locations via a horse. This becomes difficult once more locations are unlocked and you have to go back and forth between them frequently. You will be able to unlock and use fast travel stations in the game. These also appear on the map to make finding them easy. Using this option does have a cost of 100 Florins, but it is worth that amount to transport to your destination instead of a long horse ride.

Loyal steed
The horses in the game can be very useful. Other than the obvious use for travel, they can be ridden into a potential fight and dismounted. Lure your enemy to the rear of the horse and it will kick them, doing good damage. They also will follow you after you dismount them until you enter a city, making them easier to relocate.

Notoriety
Notoriety is essentially your wanted level. The higher it is, the closer to notorious you are. Notorious is the state where guards take one look at you and say "Get him!". You want to keep the symbol of a head inside the gauge white. Gaining notoriety is easy; just do criminal activities, assassinate in front of people, kill guards in general, run across rooftops, and even just bumping into some guards by accident. Losing notoriety is also easy. The game tells you the three methods of losing it: rip down posters, bribe heralds, and kill officials. The first is the easiest because those are most abundant. However, because of that, they also give the smallest returns (up to 25% of your notoriety bar per poster, or four posters if you are notorious). If you are that bad off, four posters can seem next to impossible. However, you will be jumping about a lot anyways and will be bound to find a couple of them. The second method, heralds, is your middle ground, but it comes at a price: 500 Florins for up to 50% of the notoriety bar. The cost is 1,000 Florins if you are notorious. Do not be deterred by the cost. That cost turns into a very slight profit. The last method, the officials, give the best return, but are also difficult. Like the thieves and couriers that you chase down for cash, they run everywhere once they see you (up buildings, across beams, through crowds, and most especially towards guards). The reward is 75% of the bar for an official, but the time spent could have been better used ripping down posters and bribing heralds.

Locating missing feathers
To find the last few feathers, pause game play and go to the DNA strand. There is a section at the end of the strand that shows you where the feathers are located. Then, go to the feather section and it will show you in what districts the missing feathers are located.

Santa Maria della Visitazione: Giant squid
Go to assassin's tomb. Find the large water filled room before the room where you get one of the seals required for the Armor of Altair. This room has an obstacle course. Activate the lever before going through the course and stand on the edge of the floor and look at the water. Remain idle until a large shape swims across the water. Use the lever again after the timer resets and stand on at same location. After awhile, a giant tentacle will appear.

Blunt weapon broom
When you knock into a person with a broom or mop, pick it up. When you enter combat with it, the broom or mop will act as a mace, hammer, or other blunt weapon. It makes it seem as though you are cleaning up the trash. Note: This can also be done with farmer's garden hoes.

Smoke bombs
When you unlock the smoke bombs, you can use them to kill guards quicker. Equip the smoke bomb, then throw it. Once the guards are coughing, switch to your hidden blade for quicker kills.

Defeating groups of enemies
When fighting a large group it is best to keep moving about so they do not surround you and attack from more than one side at once. The trick to fighting the group then is to keep your guard up and wait for one of them to attack and counter it. If there are Brutes or Seekers in the group, it gets a bit tougher but the other tips listed here will help. Try to avoid Brutes or Seekers at first and focus on the others.

Defeating Seekers
Seekers are soldiers with spears. The trick to Seekers is grappling them. Try to grab them first and kill them to remove that threat quickly.

Defeating Brutes
Brutes are the big armored soldiers. They are armed with two handed weapons such as axes and claymores. The trick to Brutes is to disarm them. Trying to reverse their moves will just result in you getting hurt if you have a weapon ready. You can take their weapons away from them and then kill them easily.

Defeating Archers
Usually Archers are a little threat and more of a nuisance, but in some areas there are a lot of them scattered around. If you find yourself in a fight and at the same time there are archers shooting at you, try to break off the fight and run to an archer. This makes them drop their bow and draw their sword. The more fun approach is to position the soldiers in the archer's line of fire and have them do your dirty work and hurt the solders attacking you.

In the assassin's tomb Santa Maria Delle Visitazione , before the room in which you get one of the seals required for the Armour of Altair , is a large room filled with water in where you go through an obstacle course . Now before attempting the course , activate the lever and stand on the edge of the floor and stare into the water . After waiting for about a minute , a large figure in the water appears to swim across while staring at you with what appears to be a yellow eye . After the lever's time limit runs out , re activate it and stand on the same spot and wait. A giant tentacle will shoot out of the water that Ezio dodges at the last second.

Infinite life

Escaping from guards
Go to a high roof when chased. Kill the guards that appear. After a few kills they will either run or give up.

Saving citizens
Use the following trick for easy guard fights while saving a citizen. When trying to "save a citizen", run in, assassinate one guard with your hidden blade, then lock onto the closest guard and hold R1. When the guard comes in to attack, press Square to parry and kill the guard in usually one smooth, clean move. Repeat this for all guards to avoid taking damage.

Kill anyone without a penalty
After you beat the Game, when you go back to the story mode you can kill anyone without losing life.

Defeating the Master
When fighting the Master he will take away your ability to use radar and make it difficult to see. This also allows him to hit you once and kill you. Lock on to him and use a throwing knife against him. This will take away his power to blind you and make him easier to kill.

Saving citizens
Use the following trick for easy guard fights while saving a citizen. When trying to "save a citizen", run in, assassinate one guard with your hidden blade, then lock onto the closest guard and hold R1. When the guard comes in to attack, press Square to parry and kill the guard in usually one smooth, clean move. Repeat this for all guards to avoid taking damage.

Jerusalem: Assassination
When you go to Jerusalem and do the assassination with the guards surrounding you, do not try to fight them off. Instead, turn around and run up the ladder to get to the second floor. A short intermission sequence will show your target running away and up another ladder. Hold R1 + X and run across the chandeliers. The ladder will be to the right. Run up the ladder and another short intermission sequence will show your target on top of another building. Chase him down and have your wrist blade enabled (press Up) Then, press L1 to lock onto your target while still chasing him down. When you get close enough, the word "Assassinate" will appear for Square in the upper right of the screen. Press it and you will complete your task. After another intermission sequence, evade the guards by jumping onto building roofs, hiding, etc. Make your way over to the bureau to complete the memory.

Defeating William of Montferrat in Acre
After the guards (or most of them) leave William, drop down from the castle and slay William. Afterward, "de-target" or deselect, and run up into the castle buildings and battlement to get away. This is the fastest way of completing the mission.

Easy fights
Only attempt this technique if they are fluent in the Rank 2 skill "Counter" and they have enough synchronization bars (a.k.a., life bars). One and a half rows of bars will do. When in battle, equip your hidden blade. With this equipped, all of your counters will score an instant kill. You can even instantly kill tougher ranked guards (for example, the Teutonic guards in Acre when hunting Sebrand). Also, most of the time using the hidden blade in battle will scare the last one or two (even three if you are lucky) guards, causing them to run away. However because you do not have a weapon that is sufficient enough to block a full sized enemy blade, all incoming attacks will hurt you.

Easier interrogation
After you get the "target" to a safe area to "interrogate" them, punch them first then "grab" them for faster completions. It will take about two grabs to quickly finish them. However, into the last three quarters of the game you may have to grab them up to, but exceeding, four times.

Unlocking doors
When you go to bed after Memory Block 2, you will notice your closet door is open. Hit any button to get a piece of paper Desmond notes as a code. The code will unlock your bedroom door which will allow you to be able to go out as often as you like after you are put to bed, as well as to open the meeting room area. You can also pick up various items to unlock Lucy's password.

Maximize efforts for each city
After killing Al Muaiam and returning to the real world, listen to the conversation about how they going to kill you. Turn on your Eagle Vision and look at the floor. There are some mixed up letters on both sides of the Amnius. You should see on the side closest to the main door:

One item you can pick up after being able to unlock your bedroom door is Lucy's password. You can then investigate her e-mails, which entail a short secondary story line. After you complete the last Memory Block, go back outside your room. Go to Lucy's computer. In "Deleted Items" is an e-mail which entails her talking to someone about a rescue, then the last reply comes back as:

Easy mission completion
If you are struggling to move around different cities and finding mission objectives climb view points. You can find these on the map and the symbol is an eagle. It is better to look at the view points closer to shaded areas as these will reveal different routes on the map and different missions. This means you can assassinate people quicker.

Quickly gain assassination objectives.
Once you have all objectives revealed you don't have to complete all six. You only have to complete 3 of the shown objectives to be given the order to finally assassinate a target.


Robert de Sable
Once you have nade it through to the harbour, you will find Robert de Sable, he will challenge you to a fight to the death.
Before facing Robert himself, you need to defeat some of his guards. Using counter attacks are strongly recommended, but of course, some of the guards cannot be killed with one clean sweep of a couter attack. Once his guards have been defeated, Robert himself will challenge you.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KILL ROBERT WITH ANYTHING BUT YOUR HIDDEN BLADE.

Keep yourself in counter mode and do either of the following:

*Kill Robert with a normal attack counter.
This works well, but Altairs health will probably be nearly empty by now, so be careful that Robert doesnt hit you, this is highly possible

-OR-

*Dodge all of Robert's Blade attacks and wait until he grabs you, perform a grab break and when he is on the ground, kill him with the hidden blade

Be careful when using both of these techniques that Robert doesnt hit you...if he hits you once, he will probably perform a combo, which in some cases, can kill you instantly.

Transformers reference
Travel to the southwestern-most vigilantes in the poor district of Damascus. On one of the buildings around them, you should see an outcropping in the wall, climb on it and you will see that it looks exactly like G1 Optimus Prime in vehicle mode. Note that there may be more than one outcropping in the area, so look carefully. If you lose sight of the vigilantes, you have gone too far.

Guy's fall through floor
Go to the practicing fighting ring at the castle, and push the guy to the wall, then wait for him to get up, them attack him with your sword (only lightly,dont counter attack, ormstrong attack, only tap square) and he should fall through the floor, with only his head poking through the floor, but if you attack him, he will shoot up through the floor, then fall back down.
