Easy CP
Use the following trick to get 6,600 CP in about two minutes. There are two Behemoth-like enemies fighting each other at Gran Pulse. When you encounter them a preemptive attack will always happen. Use the following Optima set-up: Attacker/Enhancer/Enhancer. Wait until you get Haste and Fire elemental offense. Then, switch to Attacker/Blaster/Blaster. Kill the purple creature to make the white one is easier to defeat. Return near the save point to have them respawn.



Super Weapon Exploit
Each character has one super weapon that can be obtained by fully upgrading one of his/her stock weapons.

Each player has seven stock weapons but the final result after maximum upgrades yields the same super weapon.

Upgrading is done through the shop at save points. There are two parts to upgrading:

(1) Spamming items which give a low amount of EXP to increase multipliers, and (2) Using items which give a lot of EXP, and that now give even more EXP due to your multiplier, to upgrade your weapon substantially.

An efficient way to build the multiplier is to go to the Creature Comforts store and buy Vibrant Ooze. Apply 36 of those to your weapon and you will have a 3x multiplier. Then you can apply Perfect Conductor for 2577 EXP.



CP Farming in Chapter 5
Right at the clocktower in the park, you'll find a chest with five of those little robots running around it. You can beat them up for 640 cp and loop back to the prior chest area (with one of the monsters) and the group of five will respawn.



CP Farming in Chapters 8 and 9
Here are a couple really solid CP grinding areas in Chapters 8 and 9.

The first spot is right after the attack on Hope's home in Parumpolum in Chapter 8. There are two sets of soldiers who will keep respawning inside the house endlessly. All you have to do is run down the halls a bit and they come right back and they will be there again. Defeating them yields a good amount of CP, and they drop incentive chips which you can sell for 2,500 and buy upgrade parts for your weapons.

You can max out all your players and upgraded Lightning's weapon from level 16-22 in approx. 40 minutes of fighting.

The second spot when you're going to rescue Sazh and Vanille in Chapter 9. After you finish the outside fighting portion on the flagship you head inside; in there you get a "green alert" warning the enemy to your presence. Instead of proceeding further, go back outside and you will see that the enemies have respawned.

In fact, just right outside the door you will get into a battle with five enemies which nets you over 700 CP each time as well as dropping Silicon Oil plus incentive and credit chips. After each fight, head back inside around two corners to respawn the enemy. Do this as many times as you want and head inside to the save point to sell the chips and upgrade your weapons and you'll get everyone to level 3 of all their roles in no time.

These two places are great because of the incentive chips.



CP Farming in Chapter 11
There are two good places to level up your Crystarium when you come into the Archelyte Steppe in the beginning of Ch. 11. The first one can be found in the Southwest Corner of the main map, the Western Benchland. South of the pond, there is a peninsula where little birdlike characters mass around. At first this seems like an intimidating battle, considering that the enemies will summon characters making the battles very long. However, this can be remedied, if you have 3 of the following four characters: Lightning, Fang, Snow, and Sazh. You'll only really need the following paradigms: Commando x3 / Commando x2+Ravager / Commando x2+Medic / Sentinel+Commando+Medic / Sentinel+Medicx2. Set the base mode on Commando x3 and go into battle.

If you're able to get behind them it makes the battles all that much easier. Once you get the hang of things, you'll learn their pattern and be able to get them more often than not in a surprise attack. Have your leader, whomever you choose to have it attack with Ruinaga, followed by blitz. The Ruinaga will toss them into the air a tiny bit and hit multiple targets in a wide radius. The blitz should hit the same amount of people. Your support characters should attack with Blitz, Blitz, and then standard attack. The Ruinaga spell is important because it keeps the baddies from being able to mass a constant attack on you as well as keeping them unable to summon whoever they are going to bring into the battle. CP ranges from 2000 to 3500 for your 35-45 seconds of effort. If you're having a hard time, try Commando x2 + Ravager, and you may be able to juggle them a little, but the commandos really shred HP in this fight.

The second method should be undertaken when you've gotten more HP and strength, since the fights will be harder. North of the first point, there is a place where the big wolf and a behemoth are fighting. Hit them. Concentrate first on the Behemoth and take him out. Don't kill the wolf, since he's your buffer from being behemoth's lunch. Take them out, 6000+CP. Then turn around, jump down to the west and take out the 3 groups of wolfs for 2000-3000 CP. Repeat this and you'll have tons of CP in no time.



Upgrading Tips
Study Bones / Ooze / Tail are the three 80gil items which take 36 to equal a 3x multiplier. So, 2880 gil gets you 3x. If you're a Gil pincher - save money and wait until you can upgrade an item to max level in one shot - save the investment to a one time shot at multiplier. Furthermore, you won't need to level up any weapons until you're at a point you should be able to afford the expense.

If you would rather just play and level up - do that - don't worry about the gil it costs you - just have fun and be happy.

While Fluids and Oils may give more EXP, they're a waste since the inorganic items are so much better - you are better offf getting to 3x as soon as possible, and then switching to inorganic.

For farmable scenes (like chapter 11) - nothing beats the bomb parts. I had nearly a two full stacks of bomb things from Marks and used them to level up most of the accessories required so I could unlock 'em all for the treasure hunter achievement/trophy.



Hoppin' Mad
Whenever you have control of your character outside of battle, move the analog stick left and right quickly. Do this enough (6 or so times) and your character will come to an abrupt stop and emote -- expressing anger or fatigue.

Secret Animation
If you turn the left stick in a slow circle on the field screen, the character that you are controlling will do a secret animation. For example, Hope will shake his head and hands.

During any fight in career mode, if you get knocked down and you think you are not going to make it, turn your Playstation 3 off before the bell rings. When the game is resumed, you can start the match again without a loss.



Easy wins in career mode
Go to the options menu and set "Illegal Blows" to "Off". Then, go to the fight store and buy the illegal head punch called "Elbow Shot". Start a fight and use the Elbow Shot to counter attack each time your opponent throws a punch. Note: it is important you use the Elbow Shot as a counter attack so that you can connect cleanly and powerfully on you opponent's head. You will see that the Elbow Shot inflicts a lot of damage to your opponent, and will put him KO in a short period of time, or TKO because you inflicted so much damage to his eye.

If you loan six players out, five will come back, etc. The club you loan the player to will have sold him to another club. For example, if you loan Caceres from Barcelona to Villarreal CF and they will sell him to Wigan Athletic. Do not loan players out to prevent this from happening.

Renewing contracts
Do not renew contracts after a season. You will be asked whose contract you want to renew. Tick the box they will get. Offer the same wage they already have. Wait until the end of season to renew for the same wage instead of having to triple it at the start.

Penalties
When you have been awarded a penalty, there are several shots you can take. The driven shot is used if you want to blast the ball past the keeper with pace. A driven shot with 40% - 60% power on the power bar can go past the keeper with great pace and/or go in the top corner when you have an almost certain chance of scoring.

Easier Manager Mode
Before you start a manager mode look in the national teams and see if their are any good players who do not play for a club, 2 that i picked were Arshavin and Vagner Love, and trade them to free agents and then you don't have to pay anything for some really good players.

Charged Throw

When taking a free kick from just outside the box or a little bit further, hold down LB and RB and aim for the right or left side of the goal depending on what side of the goal you are standing on. If you are in the middle aim to the players strongest foot.

Hit the ball at about quarter power and it should go in pretty much all the time



Clean sheets
For clean sheets to be credited in season, tournament, Be A Pro Season, manager modes (everything outside exhibitions), it would be the final keeper present at the end of a shutout (clean sheet) game. For example, if you start with Edwin Van der Sar in the first half, Thomasz Kusczak in the beginning of second half, but finish with Wayne Rooney in goal because Kusczak was red-carded, and the final score was 2-0, Rooney will be credited with the clean sheet, and not Edwin Vander Sar. Kusczak is ineligible because he was red-carded. The clean sheet is void if any goals are scored against them. If any keeper conceded a goal, any substitute keepers in goal will not benefit even if they didn't concede any further goals.

Help in manager mode
If you are looking for lots if good-average players in manager mode but don't want to spend then look in the Russian/Ukrainian international squads. The majority of them don't play for a club so add them to free agents and get them for free in manager mode.

Arena free-kick
To take a Free-Kick whilst in the arena simple go to a position you want to take your free-kick from and press on any button on the D-Pad.

Sprinting - Jogging
When you have possession and it looks difficult to get past the line of defence sprint through an open area. When making your way into the box, never shoot whilst sprinting. Shooting at this point can make your shot less accurate as shooting whilst jogging.

Diving header
If you are struggling to do a diving header simply follow these instructions to add that extra trophy to your trophy collection. To complete this you must be familiar with the crossing controls. You will never complete a diving header by sending in a simple cross that is completed by holding [SQUARE]. You must send in a low cross by tapping [SQUARE] x2. This puts more pace on the ball and forces the reciever to use his feet or dive towards the ball if he wants to score. More often than enough he will use his feet but if his heading accuracy is high he will launch his head towards the ball.

Free agents
Stop! Hold it right there! Don't even think about buying that player for £~~. I am sure that you can find a much better player off the free agent's list. You can put them into your team for free and more often than enough they will need a low salary. Simply search on the detailed section and go down to the transfer status section and move it across to free agents.

Chipping
When 1-on-1 with the keeper, there is a certain chance that he will come off his line. At this point there is a simple shot that must be considered. Chip. This is very effective when the keeper is off his line and is about to dive at your feet. When the keeper is off his line and you are in the box, attempt to beat the keeper with this shot for a good goal.

Extra forward
When you are attacking alone against several defenders, you can call for others on your team to give you some assisstance in the front third of the pitch. Simply press up on the D-Pad and a defender will help you out on the attack.

Scouting
When scouting you can experriment with different positions, nationalities and scouting time. For more and better players always experiment with these and find which costs the most. This doesn't work very well if you have no money but can be very helpful if you want young, cheap players.

Dribbling
When dribbling, more often than enough you will have your opponents at your side trying to get closer so they can make a clean tackle. To avoid this situation, try changing paces and direction so it is harder for the defender to predict your next move. Also try sprinting and then make a hard stop to make it more difficult for the defenders to tackle you.

Finesse shot
Finesse shot is very effective when close to goal as it is a shot that is hit by the side of the foot. It is used when close to goal and to trick the keeper so he doesn't know where the ball will land. It is also used when you are off balance or under great pressure from the defence. The shot is also more accurate than a driven shot as there is less power needed in the shot.

Russians
As there is no Russian League currently on FIFA 09, there are many 'decent' Russians who do not play for a club. This is a huge advantage in manager mode as you can simply put these in your team without affecting online squads. Firstly, make your way to 'Manage Teams' in the Main Menu and select 'Club Transfers'. Press [X] and then once more. Scroll down the list for players who are not playing for any clubs and put them into the 'Free Agents'. Start a manager mode season and search for free agents on the transfer market. The players you selected will be in this list.

Pressing
When you are losing, drawing, or just want the ball back in the game, team pressing can really help if you can't get the ball back with just one or two players. Pressing [RIGHT] on the D-Pad will force your team to try harder to win the ball back. This also brings more players into the game if they are just standing around.

Creation zone
When you are with your favourite team and feel that your players could be better, use this tip. When in the creation zone, click edit player and select the player by team and click edit. Go over to EXP and take all of the points of that player that are useless eg. if you're editing a striker, take all of his goalie and defence skills off of him. Then use this spare points on useful abilities.

At the end of the season release them and change club to your favourite club. Go on the transfer market and they will all be free agents!!!

Look at the map when at the Northern Territory (the area where you start). You will see a bus station at almost each corner of the map (top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right). Go to the bottom right bus station by following the road south, but use the road closest to the edge of the map. You will go around a small mountain. The diamond light will flash and you should pull up to a small shack. Inside you will see some ammunition, the golden AK47 and a diamond case.

Jackal choices
When going for the Jackal after you are done with the mission with the blue square on it, you must go to a shack where he is hiding. When you get into the shack he gives you two choices. You can either take the diamonds or the car battery. If you take the diamonds, he tells you to take them and bribe the commander or take the car battery and fix the explosives. However if you take the diamonds, be careful with the large hole in the middle. If you drop in, you will not be able to get out.

The Mauler [Unique Auto-axe]

It is a melee weapon with the damage of 47 (59 with the Auto Axpert perk) Its action points are 50 and the item HP is 800.

This is a very good melee weapon, however for lightweight players, may not be the best choice due to its weight.



The Infiltrator
This is a unique high-powered sniper rifle. Defeat the final challenger in the Arena, then search his body to obtain it.

Finding your confiscated items
After blasting the last arena opponent, check the footlocker behind the arena master woman.

Metal Blaster
The Metal Blaster is a unique upgraded laser rifle with spread shot. Turn in 50 ingots to the person outside the steelyard to get the weapon.

Defeating robots in the Wastelands
Run up a steep hill with the robot at the bottom. Some robots have problems shooting upwards at a steep angle. Shoot at them as you are running up the hill to destroy them easily.

Lock picking
Use the following trick to avoid breaking bobby pins when trying to pick a lock. Just before the bobby pin is going to break, exit that screen then go back. You will save a lot of bobby pins by doing this. This also works when trying to get a password for computers.

Easy Stealing
Save the game before starting a dialogue with a Speech bonus, hacking a computer, lock picking, or pick pocketing. Simply reload the game if you fail the challenge.

Dogmeat
Dogmeat is found in Scrapyard. On the world map, Scrapyard is in the top right corner of the square that is two squares directly below Minefield. Follow the clear triangle on your compass if you are having problems finding it. Go into Scrapyard and look/listen for fighting. Your will find Dogmeat fighting a Raider. Once the Raider is dead you can talk to Dogmeat and ask him to join you.

Early detection
When wandering around in the world or towns, use the following trick to get an early heads up on enemies, encounters, or learn who is nearby. Keep tapping [V.A.T.S.] while searching at all angles. If there is something out there, you will get the V.A.T.S. zoom in with a low score. You will at least know what is there and can figure out a plan of attack or how best to sneak around it.



Easy Experience
1.) - Go to Big Town and find the NPC named Pappy.

2.) - Select the dialogue choice You came here with Bittercup, right? If this dialogue choice doesn't appear, find Bittercup and exhaust all her conversation options. Try speaking with Pappy again afterwards (You must have 100% Speech rating to be able to convince him; failing to do so will disable this glitch forever)

3.) - Select that dialogue option to gain six experience points. Repeat to get exp as much as you want.



Carrying Heavy Items
In case you'll need to carry a heavy item but your inventory is full, simply pick up the item and hold it in front of you. The weight of that item won't count on your capacity, preventing you from getting encumbered.

Extra Storage
When you have a companion, you can dump your stuff to them temporarily through trading since they don't have capacities/ limit. Remember to get your valuables before they leave you.

Easy caps
Only proceed if you want to take the "evil" path. After agreeing to help Mr. Burke nuke Megaton, go into every single house and steal everything (any little piece of junk you can carry). Sell them to the local shops (Craterside Supplies, The Restaurant, Moriarty's Saloon, etc.). If a particular house is locked or you need a key to get into a safe or something of that nature, simply kill the owner of said property and get the key from his or her body. Kill everyone in sight, especially the shop owners because you can get access to their entire inventory, plus the caps that you have already spent on them. Kill every one and collect everything to leave Megaton empty. You should have at least 600 caps. Remember to sell some of the things you gather to the shop owners because you cannot fast travel when over encumbered. This can be done in almost any town you visit. To avoid getting over encumbered, get all the supplies that you can possibly carry, then drop the rest just outside of Megaton. Fast travel to Rivet City or some other marketplace. Sell what you have, then return to Megaton and repeat the process.

Megaton: Hidden sniper rifle cache
You can find a sniper rifle and other supplies hidden in a rock near Megaton.

National Guard Armory: Secret weapons cache
There is a hidden area in the National Guard Armory that contains an experimental MIRV gun (the most powerful weapon in the game) and the Small Arms bobblehead.

Dart Gun
The first part of the schematic for the Dart Gun are found at the MDPL-05 Power Station on the northwest tip of the Capital Wasteland. Another part is obtained from Hannibal Hamlin after completing the Lincoln Memorial quest for the slaves. The last schematic is found in a locked chest at the Boutique Le Chic in Tenpenny Tower. Parts required are a toy car, surgical tubing, paint gun, and Radscorpion poison gland. The Dart Gun cripples your target's legs. It is very useful when used on fast melee opponents such as Deathclaws. It also poisons your target for eight seconds.

Brahmin tipping
Find a solitary Brahmin. Sneak next to it while unarmed. While crouched, interact with it to tip it over.



Super Mutant Behemoth locations
There are five Super Mutant Behemoths that can be found and killed. After they die they cannot respawn. You can find them at the following locations.

• Galaxy News Radio: This Behemoth will destroy a wall just outside the GNR Building as you enter the area (quest related).
• Evergreen Mills: At the bandit camp near Vault 112, a Behemoth is behind an electric enclosure beside the train tracks. When the generator powering the enclosure is destroyed the Behemoth will escape.
• The Capitol Building: Use the west entrance and go inside the main room. Look on the map. The room is straight down the hall from the entrance. However debris will force you to find an alternate route there.
• Industrial: Located east of the GNR Building at the end of the map. The Behemoth is just north of the factory, standing in the middle of some wrecked cars.
• Jury Station: Go west until you find a group of crumpled up train cars. Search this area until the Behemoth appears. You will know if you are in the correct area if you see a teddy bear in a shopping cart.



Finding Dogmeat
Dogmeat is found in Scrapyard. On the world map, Scrapyard is in the top right corner of the square that is two squares directly below Minefield. Follow the clear triangle on your compass if you are having problems finding it. Go into Scrapyard and look/listen for fighting. Your will find Dogmeat fighting a Raider. Once the Raider is dead you can talk to Dogmeat and ask him to join you.

Infinite XP
Use the following trick to get 5 experience points each time it is performed. Go to Craterside Supply (found in Megaton) with a few frag mines (so you do not have to re-equip the mines). Go into the room behind the mercenary. Get close to the back side of the wall that the mercenary is leaning against, and place a mine. Quickly pick it up as it will immediately be armed and ticking. Repeat this as many times as desired.

Easy caps
In the "Strictly Business" quest, capture Susan Lancaster, and get your reward for her capture. Afterwards, speak with her in the slave quarters part of Paradise Falls. Note: You will need one of the slaver's keys to access the slaves quarters; pickpocket one. After entering the slave quarter's, speak with Susan. When she asks for help, choose the option "You're a slave. Deal with it.", then return to Grouse to collect the reward again. Grouse will think that you captured her again. You can repeat this as many times as desired to get 250 Caps and a slave collar each time.

Easy caps and XP
Save all pre-war books you found (not scorched or ruined). Go to the Arlington library. At the southeastern corner, you can find an NPC that will buy those books for 100 Caps each. You will also get 10 experience points for each book you sold.

More easy caps
Do the "Riley's Rangers" side quest. After rescuing Riley and escorting her back to her base, she will ask if you want to help her out by mapping the area, and she will pay you. Do not tell her that you will help her just yet. After reaching level 20, use the "Explorer" Perk. Once you have revealed every location on the map, go back to her, and tell her that you will help her out. Then, tell her you have got some new locations for her. Depending on whether or not you have already done it, you can make upwards of 2,200 Caps.

Easy Hacking, Speech, and Stealing bonuses
Save the game before starting a dialogue with a Speech bonus, hacking a computer, lock picking, or pick pocketing. Then, simply reload the game if you fail the challenge.

Falling long distances without dying
If you are falling a long distance, such as off a bridge or cliff, save the game in mid-air close to the ground, and reload it. You will land safely on the ground.

Easy Karma level trophies
An easy way to get multiple "Reach level ? with ? Karma" trophies is to remain neutral for the duration of the game. When you are getting close to one of the notable trophy levels (8, 14, or 20), save the game. Then, turn evil or good by completing a quest for good Karma or murdering random characters for bad Karma. This will send you into the good or bad Karma statuses while giving you experience. Once you get the trophy for reaching a certain level with bad or good Karma, reload your saved game, and continue as usual with neutral actions. It is easiest to neutrally level somewhere with a lot of enemies, such as the D.C. area with Super Mutants, or subways or caves with Ghouls and Mirelurks. Note: Using this trick is easiest with a neutral/bad character because once you get close to reaching a notable level, you can just go to Megaton, Rivet City, or another major settlement and kill people to get experience. After leveling, reload the game, and no one will be mad at you.

Easy "Silver-Tongued Devil" trophy
Use the "Infinite XP" Speech trick to easily get the "Silver Tongued Devil" trophy.

Fat Man gun
To get the passcode to the experimental MIRV gun, collect all of the Keller family transcripts. The Fat Man gun shoots eight mini-nukes at a time.

Ghoul Mask
To get the Ghoul Mask, you must complete the Tenpenny Tower quest, which requires you to find a way to let the Ghouls live in Tenpenny Tower. The mask is useful if you are tired of fighting Feral Ghouls or in a location full of them. It makes them completely ignore you.

Prototype Medic Power Armor
You can find the Prototype Medic Power Armor in Old Olney in the northeast section of the map. The area is swarming with Death Claws. Set the difficulty to "Very Easy", and go there. On the southern-most street of the town is a grate on the sidewalk. Step on it, and it should open out from underneath you, effectively forcing you to go through the sewers. Fight your way through the sewers. Eventually you will find a ladder to your left. Keep going forward to find a Brotherhood of Steel Initiate. She will be wearing the armor. The armor talks and will inject you with Med-X when your limbs are crippled. It is as good, if not better, than Tesla Armor, but does not come with a helmet.

T-51b Power Armor
Successfully complete the "You've Gotta Shoot Them In The Head" mission given by Mr. Crowley in Underworld. Return to him once you have all four keys. Follow him out of Underworld, and take back the keys. Go to "Fort Constantine", located in the upper-left corner of the map directly between and slightly to the north of "SATCOM Array NW-05a" and "SATCOM Array NN-03d". Enter the little house on the left named the "CO Quarters". Go downstairs, and use the key on the "launch control bunker" door. Be prepared to fend off robots while making your way further down. Eventually you will find doors for all the keys, the last one being a room that holds the T-51b under glass. Use the computer to free the armor.

Secret Nuka-Cola collection in Girdershade
North of the Dunwich Building in the southwestern part of the map is a town called "Girdershade". Once there, you will find two shacks. One of them is Sierra Petrovita's home. Enter her shack to find the only Nuka-Cola collection in the game.

Extra XP
When an enemy is at low health, or it is a really weak enemy, change the difficulty to Very Hard, this will gain you a little extra XP.

Experimental MIRV
This is a special Fat Man. It is found in the bomb shelter section of the Guard Depot. All five Keller Family Transcripts must be found first. It fires eight Mini Nukes at once in a random spread pattern. This does amazing amounts of damage, but is essentially useless other than for entertainment value, or for leveling entire towns. Its damage is 1610 x 8.

Vengeance
You can find a unique Gatling laser named Vengeance under an outcropping of rock jutting above a bloody lake at the far rear of the Deathclaw Sanctuary. Go as far into the sanctuary as you can to the southeast. It should open up into a large cave. You will see a large rock in the center of the cave. It is approachable from the south, and is illuminated by some glowing fungus. The bloody pond is filled with corpses and next to one of them is Vengeance, which is in relatively good condition when found.

Waser Wifle
Gain access to Little Lamplight and find a child named "Biwwy". He will sell you the Waser Wifle for 250 or 500 caps. It is an augmented Laser Rifle. Note: If you have the "Child At Heart" perk, you can get the weapon for free by selecting the "You said you didn't need it, why not just give it to me for free?" option.

Protectron's Gaze
Protectron's Gaze is a unique laser pistol that fires a cluster of beams at the same time. It is usually more effective when fired outside of VATS. It has a slightly slower rate of fire and smaller magazine than a standard laser pistol. It is repaired with standard laser pistols. The weapon is constructed from parts of the Mechanist's Protectron assistant at the Robot Repair Center at Canterbury Commons.

Fire Lance
This is a special Alien Blaster with 72 damage, with a fire damage of -2 (5s) giving it a damage of 82 in ten seconds. This blaster is found at random times and at random places. However it can most likely be found east of Vault 101 under the overpass by a trailer. You will know if you found the correct location when you hear a missile on your position. Look up to see a smoke trail in the sky. When it gets about ten feet from the ground it will blow up and hit the ground with a blue explosion. The Fire Lance will be on the ground with about fifteen Alien Power Cells.

Colonel Autumn's Laser pistol
Colonel Autumn's Laser pistol is a modified, fully automatic version of the standard laser pistol with a rate of fire comparable to the Gatling laser. It has a 30 round magazine, uses very few action points, and is repaired with the common laser pistol. The weapon does 75 damage, while using the same Energy Cell ammo as a standard pistol. This version is also lighter than a standard laser pistol, with a weight of 2. This unique pistol is considered a quest item and cannot be dropped. The only way it can be removed is by using it as spare parts to repair a regular laser pistol, but this will destroy it permanently. Also because it is a quest item, the weapon can only be repaired manually. It is located from Citadel to the Jefferson Memorial's rotunda.

Travelling quiet
When travelling from one location to another, always sneak if you can. The 'Capital Wasteland' is filled with different monsters around every corner, so this would help you get an advantage in battle if you are hidden.

Healing Dogmeat
When fighting a battle with Dogmeat, he is bound to lose health. After each battle, take a Stimpak and heal him. This option is listed in the dialogue.

Washington Monument
When you've found the Washington Monument, always be on the lookout for Power Armour. Plenty of brothers from the Brotherhood of Steel die here with armour that you can take.

Two Followers
Hire Charon. Fire him before freeing Fawkes from Vault 87. Hire Fawkes once you meet him outside. After a while it should appear, "Charon gas returned to the ninth circle". Go back to Underworld where you first hired Charon. Hire him. Now you have two Followers. I don't know if this works with any other follower

Fear Factory
Enter the museum, and examine the notice on the wall terminal to the far right. The text is about a virus infecting their Archetype, and at the end it repeats parts of the song "Archetype" by Fear Factory: "the infection has been removed, the soul of this machine has improved".

Brahmin Tipping
If you come upon a Brahmin anywhere in the wasteland (a Brahmin, not a pack Brahmin) you can crouch and hit the interact button to tip the Brahmin over.

Alien and alien blaster
Go to the Minefield then head north if you keep going you'll eventually pick up a radio signal from the alien space craft when you find it there is a space craft and special gun with limited ammo.

Tommy James And The Shondells
At Paradise Falls are two slaves around Eulogy's Pad named Crimson and Clover. They are Eulogy Jones' bodyguards. This is a reference to a song by Tommy James And The Shondells called "Crimson And Clover".

Abraham Lincoln shrine in Arlington Cemetery North
The house with the Luck bobblehead also contains a hidden shrine to Abraham Lincoln.

Ozzy Osburne refrence
In the Underworld (located inside the Museum of History), there is a ghoul named "Mister Crowley". This is a reference to the "Mr.Crowley" song by Ozzy Osbourne.

Snatchers reference
One area in Minefield is a reference to the Hideo Kojima game, "Snatcher." A decapitated body sitting with its head between its legs can be found with a note in it that says "SEARCH THE HOUSE". This is identical to a scene in "Snatcher." The "Gillian's House" also refers to "Gillian Seed," the protagonist of Snatcher. 'Benson' (the name of another residence) is also the name of two characters from the game snatcher.

Text-Based Adventure
In the Publishing wing of Hubris Comics, some terminals will allow you to play a text-based adventure (ala Zork: The Great Underground Empire) called Reign of Grelok (beta). The objective of this game is to kill Grelok, for which there is no physical reward. Study up on your text-based adventures before venturing out on your quest: Use the commands N S E W for directions, and use basic terms to speak to people. Don't forget to swear!

Easy experience points
When creating a character, tag the Speech skill. After exiting Vault 101 and reaching level 2, put all your skill points in Speech. This will allow you to easily exploit the glitch. Go to BigTown, located just east of Arefu. You may need to go to Megaton and speak to Lucy West to obtain the Arefu marker if it is your first run through. Talk to everyone in BigTown, leaving Pappy for last. He has a "Speech" option that remains for the duration of the game. Every success you get using the "Speech" option will net you 6 experience points. Multiple successes will stack, leading to larger point gains. There is no need to wait for fear of losing experience points. Just continue to use the "Speech" option until you level. You must stop talking to him to distribute points. Save the game after leveling up each time, as the game has a tendency to glitch which cause the loss of all your progress.

Floating Brahim
Go to Megaton, as you go down the slope, there will be a Brahim on the right. Crouch up beside it, but make sure it has seen you (if it doesnt know you are there, it wont work)
Press action on it repeatedly. You will be pushing it. It will suddenly float up in the air, as it is been pushed onto the ramp to the medicine centre the banister is acctually a few inches below the brahims feet it will be able to turn around and walk slightly eventually it will fall off.
